Hi!<\/span>I\u2019m Andr\u00e9 \u2014 a theatrically trained actor with a love of great stories and vibrant characters. I graduated from the VCA School of Drama in 2005 and in 2010 my sense of adventure and hunger to develop my skills led me to Paris, France where I trained for two years with master theatre teacher Philippe Gaulier<\/a>. Since then I have appeared on stage, film and television in Australia and around the world.<\/p>\n

Until very recently I featured as Zazu in Disney’s The Lion King<\/em><\/a>, and was seen on stages all across Oceania, Asia and Europe, from New Zealand to the Philippines to South Korea, Z\u00fcrich and Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n

Closer to home, I’ve worked for Melbourne Theatre Company<\/a>, Sydney Theatre Company<\/a>, Queensland Theatre<\/a>, and a lot in the independent sector\u00a0\u2014 from La Mama<\/a> to BSharp<\/a> to Griffin Stablemates<\/a>. Voice work includes ABCTV documentary Revealing Gallipoli<\/em> and online monodrama The Empty Cage<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Mountain<\/i><\/a> is a\u00a0new work close to my heart, a solo show conceived and created across continents before and during the global pandemic. Co-created with my collaborator Kit Brookman<\/a>, Mountain<\/em> premiered at Geelong Arts Centre<\/a> in Australia in 2022, co-produced by Performing Lines<\/a>, Sweet Reason and Geelong Arts Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based in London since 2024, I am represented worldwide by\u00a0Carey Dodd Associates<\/a>, an innovative leading London agency representing actors and creatives across the industry.<\/p>\n

I love theatre. I love good stories. And I love connecting with people.<\/h3>\n

When I’m not at the beach or playing piano, I like to teach myself something new, read a decent book, build websites (argh!), cook or watch top-notch films and TV. I’m never too far away from a wintry mulled wine or an excellent coffee or a dinner party with dear friends. And I’m forever searching for the perfect lemon meringue pie.<\/p>\n

I am very proud to be a founding board member of\u00a0The Melanie Jewson Foundation<\/a>. I also serve as the foundation’s Marketing & Fundraising Manager. A small but mighty charity, the MJF was launched in 2012 in memory of my beautiful sister Mel and is dedicated to advancing health and education in the Pacific nation of Vanuatu.<\/p>\n

Mountain<\/i> is the story of a man in pieces. This new solo work follows a bereft young man, set adrift following the death of a loved one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Writer\/director Kit Brookman and I developed this quirky, poetic play across continents before and during the global pandemic. We premiered at Geelong Arts Centre in June 2022 to capacity audiences and reached an interstate and international viewership through Australian Digital Concert Hall\u2019s online broadcast program.<\/p>\n

Shifting perspectives from the deeply personal to the epic, Mountain<\/i> is a determined search for hope amidst utter devastation. It is a hymn to the transformative power of grief; to the wonder of the unknown.<\/p>\n
